A Razor Pen

Free verse poetry

Interesting poem is my first thought. I think you need a to in between lies - hope. I’m not sure on the “Author’s” if you meant it to be singular or plural if plural then it should be s’. I really actually enjoyed your poem. It was well thought out and you had the ‘threes’ thing going on which I thought was excellent. Usually people do things in threes or in fives. I love how you equate the pen to a weapon in every stanza it’s sharp and penetrating it’s something to fear making it into a motif through the stanzas, and remember since you used a group you need commas, It was very beautiful, which goes to show sometimes shorter is better.

Just a collection of random inklings. I use this blog to post anything and everything I write, from pieces of poetry to short little drabbles. I write about my life and everything in it. The happy times and the sad. I’m a firm believer in the thought that all writing is good writing, as long as it’s getting written.

A writer’s sword is her pen, or perhaps in my case this space. To sharpen my sword, I share my random writings, as an insight into my ink-stained soul. I hope what I scribe changes your mind; spilled ink, while messy, can be a masterpiece in the making. My Ink Stained Soul contains both poetry and prose, a few photogenic poetic pieces, and whatever my typewriter might contain.

Poetry, images, poetry inspired by images, collages, and some prose.  Heartbreak, horror, and beauty are the main themes. I’ll take requests. I want to try out different styles. I like when things are surreal, I like when they’re dark. I also just like…simple moments in time.

this is my (fairly personal) writing blog where i chronicle my life’s failures and fantasies with lots of line breaks and call it poetry (or don’t, and call it prose). i also take requests for acrostics, letters and poems, although there’s a fair backlog and it might take me a while to get around to them all.

Crazy nights (poetry)

http://rodsimas.tumblr.com/post/33829653284/crazy-nights

Your style of writing reminds me of Philip Larken’s “Here,” but very sporadic or a better word would be random and has a lot of personification and paradoxes that are quite enjoyable. The first line of your poem is a bit confusing grammatically “There were things that used to hold myself together,” but I’m not sure if this was the way you wanted to phrase it and when a reader is unsure of the message then that reader fails to understand why you chose that specific phrase. It is my belief that every poet wants to get straight to the point (the correct emotion) and not have long winded tangents like Lemony Snicket.

To give my opinion of this poem I think the narrator is having a dream and is always in this sort of dream world that takes him anywhere he wants. Where many things are possible, and having some of the events that take place fulfill him.

The poem itself was very beautiful in terms of imagery shame he took down his blog while I was dealing :/ still felt I should post this

Just recently started my tumblr as a place to keep and share, what I’d like to call, my “Spur of the moment” writings. In these writings you’ll learn an awful lot about myself, for better or worse, I suppose. Feel free to follow, like, reblog, and put in your two cents.

Very short stories, 1-3 sentences in length posted several times daily. Most are mine, but I have a few guests who post on either a regular or infrequent basis.

Stories also sometimes contain pictures that go along with them, videos that inspired them, or music that inspired them.

Any guest that submits a story I try to promote their tumblr or website, or twitter or whatever they want.

Neither a queen nor a drone, I am but a simple worker bee peppered in pollen.

I write out of necessity. Mainly poetry, with the occasional smattering of  prose. (I’m also currently working on a novel that may or may not ever see the light of day.) The name is a mix of inspiration from Greek mythology and post-Colonial America, but I write life. Largely mental vomit ranging from pure abstraction to memory.

I’m still working out the kinks and setting things up, but possible plans for the future include various reference compendiums for writers. You’ll find one already in process dubbed “the language of flowers” at the top of the page. I am always, always open to suggestions, requests and collaborations. I’m here because I write, but also because I’m in love with writers.

I write emotionally-affecting prose, transgressive minimalist fiction (Yes, I love me some Ellis), and some poetry. On here you will find excerpts from my novel (in progress), some poetry, and lots of prose and short pieces.
